Our webinars: sharing knowledge, deepening expertise

Our webinars — expertise, compressed

As an engineering office for analysis and design, we place the highest value on sound expertise and on tools that make everyday work noticeably easier. We are now sharing our know-how in compact, free online seminars — with a particular focus on automated bolt analysis in FEA with MagicBOLT. Our webinars are aimed specifically at engineers, technicians and project managers who want to work more efficiently when producing verifications. Efficient learning in 30 minutes Our webinars on engineering analysis are deliberately short and to the point: in just 30 minutes you gain valuable input for your daily practice — split into a 20-minute technical talk (live MagicBOLT demo) and 10 minutes for questions and discussion. You learn straight from your desk how to speed up complex analyses:

  • MagicBOLT in action: find out how to produce code-compliant verifications (to VDI 2230, for example) significantly faster and with fewer errors.
  • Immediately applicable: our experts show you clearly and practically how to integrate the software into your workflow.
  • Talk to the experts: take the opportunity to discuss specific cases from your own engineering practice with our specialists.

Our programme Further down this page you will find an overview of the topics, with the specific MagicBOLT modules and other technical focus areas. We look forward to lively discussions and to many registrations! Interested? Simply use the registration form at the bottom of the page to sign up for one or more webinars.

Including bolts in finite element models is now a standard part of simulation in numerous fields of engineering. The subsequent strength assessment of the bolts to codes such as VDI 2230, however, often involves a great deal of manual effort — and with large numbers of bolts and load cases it is time-consuming and error-prone. This talk presents a seamless, automated method for efficiently integrating, coupling and assessing large numbers of bolts in an FEA model — without significant time expenditure and with reproducible results. Alongside the essential steps of a code-compliant bolt verification, the tool "MagicBOLT" is presented. It enables fully automated model set-up and bolt assessment in Abaqus CAE and Ansys Workbench. Using "MagicBOLT" considerably reduces the effort involved in bolt analysis and saves valuable engineering time — with consistently high quality and traceability of the results.

Duration: 30 minutes (20-minute talk + 10 minutes for discussion and questions).
