Efficient and economical verification of piping systems

Pipework analysis

Piping systems generally consist of pressure-retaining parts such as pipes, fittings, bends, expansion joints, shut-off devices and so on. These must be designed to the applicable codes, for example:

  • EN 13480
  • ASME B31.1
  • ASME B31.3
  • AD 2000
  • EN 13445

The loads that can be taken into account include:

  • internal pressure
  • thermal loads
  • snow loads
  • wind loads
  • earthquake

Both static and dynamic strength verifications can be provided. We offer:

  • Rohr2 analyses
  • finite element analysis of special geometries
  • calculation of support loads
  • flange calculations
  • verification of bolted joints
  • sizing of steel components, supports and hangers (see also steel structures)

Documentation is provided either as a brief record or, if preferred, as a detailed report suitable for review that can be submitted to notified bodies — including as part of our all-inclusive package.
